How do I cut a part out of the middle of a song?

Select the part you want gone, tick “Delete the selection instead of keeping it” and press Delete the region. What comes before and after the selection is joined back together. Fades apply only when you keep a region.

How precise is the cut?

Drag the edges on the waveform, or type the start and end in seconds, to a hundredth of a second. Preview selection plays only the region and stops at its end. The shortest selection is 0.05 seconds.

Which formats can I upload and download?

Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or OGG, or a video to take the sound from. You get back an MP3 at 192 kbps or a 16-bit WAV, your choice. The file is always re-encoded, so pick WAV if you are going to edit it again.

Is it free, and what happens to my file?

Free: up to 3 tracks a day without an account; a free sign-in with Telegram or Google gives you up to 40 an hour. Files up to 60 MB and 6 minutes. The cut is made on our server, not in the browser; the upload and the result are kept only so that you can download it, and are deleted automatically two hours later.
